Senior Wellness Packages

These packages were designed to meet the needs of your aging pet.  After the age of seven, dogs and cats are considered to be senior pets.  Health can start declining at a faster rate after 7 years of age.  For this reason, we recommend semi-annual physical exams and yearly lab work to monitor your pet?s health.  Below are our two senior wellness packages.

 Basic Senior Package (7-10 years)

•   A complete blood cell count to evaluate red and white blood cells and platelets
•   Thyroid screening (this is just a screening test, additional bloodwork may be needed)
•   Check of liver, pancreas, and kidney enzymes
•   Screens for diabetes and evidence of other metabolic diseases
•   Check of blood proteins
•   Complete urinalysis (checks for infection and crystals that can lead to bladder/kidney stones)
•  Full physical exam from head to tail.

Comprehensive Senior Package  (10+ years)

•   Check of electrolytes, cholesterol, calcium, phosphorus levels, and blood proteins
